People who practice sea sports (kitesurfing, surfing, windsurfing ...) use expensive sport equipment that needs to be geolocalized.

In order to geo-localize objects at the sea, you have to use big devices, with high power transmission and expensive satellite channels.

We can geo-locate objects drifting up to 12 nautical miles from the coast with a small device that stays in the palm of a hand.


Based on the most promising IoT (Internet of Things) technologies our board contains:

  • a powerful SoC (System on Chip) able to control the sensors and follow the communication protocol
  • a GPS to track the real-time position
  • an accelerometer to recognize the device and collect data on sports sessions

Communication uses LPWAN (Low Power Working Area Network) protocols able to communicate recorded data

  • with low power consumption
  • reaching long distances from the coast
  • using two most used protocols (LoraWan and SigFox) enabling a global coverage

The frontend is developed with modern web technologies and include:

  • a dynamic map able to show actual and historical position of the devices
  • features for recognize your actual position in the map
  • servicies for rapidly identify device on seaside (distance and direction from your actual position)
